A few words about my career...

Artist ? Maybe …

What I am sure of is that I took my time before welcoming this talent with all my heart and to let it take a real place in my life.

For a long time, I explored my artistic side with some distance, lurking its outskirts. I used it mainly for manual activities such as making lamps made of paper and Plexiglas, creating jewellery and articles made out of polymer paste or sculptures made out of clay. Every time I had the pleasure of creating and exploring new materials and techniques.

When I finally decided to draw, I found again the same pleasure of touching, of the material, with pastel and charcoal whose mix of colours and fading is created by the tip of my fingers. They are my favourite media.

For example, my passion for childhood, which led me to be a kindergarten teacher,

or, themes such as travelling and departure. Indeed, since childhood, I lived for more or less time in numerous countries: Italy, France, Great-Britain, Switzerland and eventually the United States, where I finally found a fertile ground and the time to explore my artistic gifts.

My work is also tightly bound to a long spiritual progression that made me a convinced Christian. The question of hope, love, sacrifice and the relation between human beings but also with God is a watermark found in all or my artwork.

...and the rest of my life...

I am of French nationality, born in Corsica in 1970.

Once my education completed and a degree in Letters and Art earned on the benches of a French school in Italy, I spent a few years in Great-Britain and in France… before having the blessing of meeting in Switzerland the one that was for more than 25 years my husband, my friend and my greatest believer in my artistic attempts!

Our two children, born in Switzerland, made me a kindergarten teacher at home, although not without work, for many years.

I also had the delight of using my gifts to teach Arts and crafts for a few years in a small Christian school in western Switzerland.

Life’s hazards led us to expatriate ourselves to the United Sates for 3 years, more precisely in Florida, where I found the necessary time and support for my first works to come to life.

Once I returned to Switzerland with my family, while continuing to add more artworks to my name, I had the luck of meeting Pierre-Yves Zwahlen, author and poet, but also publisher at Editions Pretexte. This is how he offered me to illustrate a Christmas tales book. It’s by sheer gluttony and also a bit by fear that I took this first opportunity … and with joy the future ones!

There you have it… you have travelled by my side more than 4 decade of my life… but, if God wills it, it’s only the beginning of a great start!
